If you’re driving traffic to your page but it’s not converting, then 9 times out of 10, your copy is the issue.

One of the biggest things I’ve noticed when it comes to product pages for ecom is that instead of outlining the benefits of the product, store owners instead just do a massive feature dump and expect that to work.

Newsflash: It won’t!

If you present your product on the merits of its features, you put all of the control into the hands of your prospect. You leave it entirely up to chance that THEY make the connection between the features of your products and the potential benefits to them.

This is why sometimes you get a slow drip of sales, and sometimes you get nothing. Often, there’s no consistency whatsoever.

However, if you know your prospect’s needs, desires, and pain points, then you can make that connection FOR them. You can take the features and clearly explain how they benefit your prospect.

This is an important lesson you learn early on when writing copy. Feature dumps don’t convert, so tons of research is required to truly understand the target market before you even start writing!

So what’s the point of this?

Do research on your prospect and your target market. Rewrite your product description to include how every feature of whatever it is you’re selling can benefit the prospect.
